One of the things I’ve been into a lot lately is the Premodern format. Maybe I’m biased because I played a lot of Magic during the time period that these cards are from, but I enjoy the gameplay so much. There’s just something refreshing about cards with less text but still plenty of interesting interactions and decisions. It is funny how degenerate the format can be at times, as this comic points out. This comic doesn’t even mention all the crazy color hosers, like Gloom, Choke, Chill, Perish, and so on. It really shows what a great game Magic is that people used to play with all these terrible cards, and people still had a good time!
