No, it’s not. It just isn’t a staple for every cEDH deck. What we’re really looking for when we’re trying to find a place for cards like this:
1. In the 99. This card does not provide enough value to go in the command zone. Mono red is also in a really rough spot outside of a few decks like Magda!
2. In a deck that doesn’t have access to white silence effects like…well, Silence. Cards like Ranger Captain of Eos and Orim’s Chant also do a fair bit of heavy lifting. So we need a deck that is red plus another color, but not white.
3. In a deck that casts a lot of spells and all of them are important. Magda would be a great place for Hobie if not for this last bit. Magda does fulfill the previous two points, but she also doesn’t cast anything when she wins–she tutors them with an activated ability and then just wins by putting things into play.
So that leaves, in terms of meta decks, Rog/Si, and not much else.
